We are looking for a skilled and innovative Senior Consultant ,Azure Data Engineer with 3 to 4 years of hands\-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions in Azure environments. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in leveraging advanced Azure data services, SQL expertise, and AI tools to deliver robust data\-driven solutions that meet our clients' evolving business needs. What you will do: * Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory to manage complex data workflows * Build and maintain data solutions with Azure Synapse Analytics for big data analytics and reporting * Develop scalable data processing frameworks using Databricks and integrate them into Azure\-based data pipelines * Implement and manage Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL and globally distributed data solutions * Harness the power of Microsoft Fabric for unified compute and storage capabilities * Utilize Generative AI toolsets, such as Azure OpenAI Services and Azure AI Search, to deliver innovative AI\-driven solutions * Optimize SQL queries and configurations for performance and scalability in large datasets * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams, including business analysts to deliver end\-to\-end data solutions * Stay current with new Azure and AI advancements to continuously enhance solutions and services What you bring to this role: * 3 to 4 years of professional experience in data engineering with significant exposure to Azure data tools. * Proven expertise in SQL, including query writing, optimization, and database management. * Hands\-on experience with the following Azure tools: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric * Familiarity with AI and Gen AI toolsets, such as Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search * Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline best practices * Working knowledge of data governance and data security standards in cloud environments * Excellent problem\-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team * Certification in Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure AI Engineer Associate is an asset but not required **KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information** The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $82,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills \& competencies, and unique qualifications.
