SAP BTP Data Integration Architect — Contract (Hybrid, Downtown Toronto)

**Title:** SAP BTP Data Integration Architect — Contract (Hybrid, Downtown Toronto) A leading Tier\-1 Canadian financial institution is seeking a Senior **SAP BTP Data Integration Architect** for a long\-term contract in downtown Toronto (hybrid). This is a hands\-on technical leadership role at the intersection of SAP BTP Integration Suite and modern data engineering. **What you'll do:** * Lead integration blueprint with SI and internal data teams for SAP S/4HANA \+ FPSL ingestion and ERP integration patterns on SAP RISE PCE * Design and lead data pipelines from on\-prem/cloud finance platforms (Cloudera/Hadoop, data lake) to SAP — batch and streaming * Implement and guide SAP BTP Integration Suite usage: Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, destinations, and connectivity patterns * Define integration contracts: payload formats, schemas, scheduling, retries, idempotency, reconciliation, and error handling * Support data readiness work: source system inventory, extraction strategy, transformation, encryption, and landing zone patterns * Align to security and controls: TLS, PGP/file encryption, key management, logging, lineage, and DLP expectations * Own operational aspects: monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and handoff to support teams **What you bring:** * Senior data integration engineering/architecture experience — batch and event/streaming patterns * Deep SAP BTP Integration Suite expertise: CPI/Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh * Hands\-on experience with modern data stack: Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka/event streaming, data lake concepts, ETL/ELT * API fundamentals: REST/OData, OAuth2/JWT, secure transfer patterns (SFTP/HTTPS, mTLS) * Strong cross\-team delivery leadership with SI partners and business stakeholders * SAP FPSL familiarity is a strong asset * Financial data controls experience: reconciliation, auditability, lineage, regulatory constraints (asset) * GTA\-based and available for hybrid onsite in downtown Toronto Pay: $87,771\.96\-$192,015\.72 per year Experience: * SAP BTP Integration Suite: 4 years (preferred) * CPI/Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh: 4 years (preferred) * SAP FPSL: 4 years (preferred) * Financial data controls: 5 years (preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (York District)
