Job Description
For the Boston, DC or New York Office of an International Law Firm
Responsibilities include:
* Lead the full\-cycle recruitment process for lateral associates and counsel across the firm's U.S. offices, from search strategy through offer negotiation.
* Work closely with the Director of Legal Recruitment, firm leadership, and hiring partners to develop hiring strategies that support the firm's long\-term growth and talent needs.
* Manage relationships with search firms, evaluate candidate submissions, and conduct direct sourcing through LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms.
* Oversee candidate screening, interview coordination, evaluations, offers, and due diligence to ensure a seamless hiring process.
* Collaborate with Legal Personnel, Professional Development, and other internal teams to support onboarding and successful integration of lateral hires.
* Track recruiting metrics, agency spending, and hiring activity while co\-supervising and mentoring members of the recruiting team.
Qualifications include:
* 5\+ years of law firm recruiting experience with significant experience recruiting lateral associates and counsel; Bachelor's degree required. Candidates with a J.D. and 3\+ years of practice experience at a large law firm will also be considered.
* Experience working within all legal compliance requirements related to hiring, and experience executing inclusion and opportunity strategies.
* Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (LawCruit preferred). Open to technological change as generative AI becomes more integrated into the firm’s practice, and comfortable with adapting to new tools to support efficiency and innovation.
* Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment, coordinating multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives.
* High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact and diplomacy.
* Strong communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail, client service and responsiveness.
**Salary:** Boston/Washington, DC: $163,000–$203,000\. New York: $171,000–$213,000\.
