Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Housing Manager/Program Coordinator to lead our housing initiatives and coordinate comprehensive support services for individuals and families experiencing housing instability. This role is vital in ensuring access to safe, affordable, and sustainable housing options while providing tailored case management and support for high\-risk populations, including those with mental health conditions, addiction challenges, or other complex needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, social work, and housing assistance programs, with a passion for empowering underserved communities through innovative solutions and collaborative partnerships. Responsibilities * Oversee daily operations of housing programs, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low\-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and other housing assistance programs * Develop and maintain positive relationships with landlords, property owners, and community partners through effective negotiation and communication strategies * Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized case management plans for clients, focusing on high\-risk populations and those with mental health or addiction issues * Implement crisis intervention techniques to support clients during emergencies or periods of heightened vulnerability * Manage property management systems such as Yardi and OneSite to track occupancy, rent payments, maintenance requests, and client data accurately * Provide guidance on landlord\-tenant law to clients and landlords to facilitate fair agreements and resolve disputes efficiently * Deliver motivational interviewing and other social work techniques to promote client engagement, goal setting, and recovery strategies * Coordinate housing placements, monitor ongoing eligibility, and ensure adherence to program requirements * Support clients in accessing additional resources such as addiction counseling, mental health services, or employment programs as needed * Lead staff training on fair housing laws, crisis management, high\-risk population support, and best practices in social work Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred * Proven experience in property management or housing program coordination within underserved communities * Strong knowledge of landlord\-tenant law, fair housing regulations, LIHTC, Section 8 policies, and housing assistance programs * Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with landlords and service providers * Expertise in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols * Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions or substance use disorders; addiction counseling skills are a plus * Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly desirable * Excellent case management skills with a focus on high\-risk populations; compassionate communication style * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams Join us in transforming lives by providing essential housing solutions combined with dedicated support services.
