Job Summary:
The Director of Rehabilitation Services will plan, administer, and direct operation of rehabilitation programs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Responsible for the overall success of their assigned program/s. They will report directly to Regional Director of Therapy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Oversees the daily workflow of the Rehab Department.
* As a facility department head, will actively participate within the interdisciplinary team (IDT)
* Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
* Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Carries a clinical caseload
* Provide direction and leadership to all therapy staff
* Ensures program compliance through review for accurate billing, documentation, and support to therapy staff.
* Responsible for maintaining optimal staffing mix. Including recruitment, orientation, development, retention, scheduling, and employee engagement of therapy staff.
* Clinical management of therapy department through patient identification, case management, care planning, and clinical utilization.
* Collaborate with facility leadership to drive clinical excellence and supportive facility culture
* Ensures rehabilitation staff is providing appropriate care to Resident in keeping with established standards for quality and in accordance with generally established principles of care.
* Supervises the scheduling of residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care.
* Manages the evaluation and development of in\-house therapy programs including equipment assessment and staffing ratios.
* Completes required forms and documents timely, in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
* Current state licensure as an OTA or SLP
* Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards
* Prior management experience in Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
* Preferred prior Net Health (formerly Rehab Optima) experience
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
* Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
