Position Summary
The Site Assistant supports the Site Supervisor with the day\-to\-day operation, maintenance, organization, and safety of active construction sites. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, secure, and efficient job sites, assisting with material handling and deliveries, supporting trades and subcontractors, and completing general labour and maintenance tasks as required.
The Site Assistant plays an important role in ensuring projects progress efficiently, safely, and professionally while supporting the company's commitment to quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Job Description
The following tasks, duties and responsibilities are the essential functions of this job:
Core Responsibilities
1\) Site Maintenance \& Housekeeping
* Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites at all times.
* Complete exterior pick\-up and interior sweeping/tidying as directed by the Site Supervisor.
* Ensure debris is contained in proper dumpsters
* Keep completed and spec homes tidy and secure
* Check thermostats, water lines, toilets, and heat as required.
b. Material Handling \& Site Logistics
* Assist with receiving material deliveries and unloading trucks.
* Verify delivered materials match delivery documentation.
* iStack, store, and protect materials from weather and theft.
2\) Construction Support
a. Assist with excavation, demolition, material handling, scaffolding, and minor carpentry.
* Assist trade contractors and complete punch\-list tasks.
* Use and maintain basic hand tools safely and effectively.
* Site Safety \& Security
* Report hazards, damage, deficiencies, and unsafe conditions.
b. Ensure excavations, trenches, and holes are marked for safety.
* Move, install, and maintain temporary stairs, ramps, and site signage.
* Ensure all site gates are locked at the end of every day.
3\) Seasonal Site Support
* De\-ice and shovel snow as required.
* Supply heat to homes under construction during winter months.
Communication \& Reporting
* Communicate site issues, safety concerns, damages, and material shortages.
* Communicate effectively with Site Supervisors, trades, suppliers, and inspectors.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education \& Experience
* Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
* Working knowledge of scheduling and project management software would be an asset

Working Conditions
* Must have own truck and tools
* Attend Team meetings and site visits
* Approximately four to five days per week.
* Class 5 driver’s license required for site visits and meetings.
* Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing
